Hi, I'm Zak the Zebra - mascot for road safety charity Brake.
Welcome to my fundraising page for schools!
Here are some of my ideas on how you can raise money to help Brake campaign for safer roads and support road crash victims. As well as supporting a worthy cause, fundraising also helps children understand the concept of helping others and empathise with those less fortunate than themselves.
You can invite me to attend your school here or visit my page.
THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK!
Wear Your Stripes Day
Organise a Wear Your Stripes Day and ask your children and staff to dress like me!
Get them to swap their school uniform for fun, bright, stripy clothes in exchange for a donation to Brake.
Almost everyone has something striped in their wardrobe and you can accessorise by printing off my Zak mask.
Bake for Brake
Grab your aprons and make some delicious treats to sell during or after school!
Baking is one of the simplest things in the world and everyone loves a biscuit or cupcake, particularly if they know their extra calorie intake is all in a good cause. You can have your own one-off sale, tie it in with my Wear Your Stripes Day or sell tasty treats during a big event such as a school fete, coffee morning or disco.
I've given some classic recipes a road safety twist to give you a start:
To donate the funds you raise from your event, simply use the button at the top of this website or use the paying-in slip provided by Brake. You can also call 01484 559909 to pay by credit card over the phone or send a cheque, made payable to Brake, to PO Box 548, Huddersfield, HD1 2XZ.
If you've enjoyed using the resources on this website, please consider making a donation to support Brake, the road safety charity and help us create more fun, educational resources to help children, families and teachers learn about safe and healthy mobility for all.
